With an abundance of artwork inside and out, its great windows and sheltering oaks, and delightful interplay of sun and shade, we think that Mission Farm is one of the most livable, comfortable houses we have offered in long time.
Beyond the immediate property are reminders of why Mission Farm evokes such a Wine Country feel: vines and olives. Weiss Vineyards, with more than 5,000 vines planted to red varietals, covers six gently sloping acres just steps north of the house. Weiss planted its first blocks of vines in 1997 and the latest two in 2002. Two groves of olive trees, still young but nearing a productive phase that conceivably could span hundreds of years, stand at the edge of the vineyards.
